Verifiable Delay Function
A function that requires a specified amount of sequential time to evaluate, but whose output can be quickly verified.
TUC uses VDFs to generate "Unbiasable Randomness" for fair lotteries, gaming loot drops, and leader selection in our consensus protocols. It proves that time has passed and prevents manipulation of random outcomes.
