State Channels
A technique for performing transactions off-chain, with the blockchain used only for settlement.
State Channels are like a bar tab. Two machines can exchange millions of micro-transactions (e.g., streaming payments for bandwidth) instantly and for free. Only when they close the channel does the final balance execute on the main chain.
